While much of our work happens at the business level, we have several cross-business groups to help us leverage best practices, knowledge, and technologies across the company. They include:

Quality and Operations relentlessly drives continuous process improvement throughout the company to support a key tenent of our Mission: to strive without reserve for the greatest possible reliability and quality in our products. This group also provides cost-effective shared business services, such as IT, human resources, and finance.

Strategy and Innovation coordinates research and development capabilities across the entire company, especially as we combine multiple technologies to improve our therapies. This group also evaluates growth opportunities to strategically allocate our investment dollars.

Healthcare Policy and Regulatory provides a strategic approach to policy issues that affect the entire medical technology industry. As a global leader, we work with government agencies and peer groups worldwide on issues such as regulatory approvals, reimbursement, and cost-benefit analysis.

Camp Oki

The Medtronic Foundation is pleased to support Camp Oki, a summer camp for children with congenital heart disease. With staff support from the Hospital for Sick Children's Cardiac Program, the camp operates a free one-week program in Muskoka for children with pacemakers and defibrillators.
